A ‘Belated’ Thanksgiving Day for the Boys

A ‘Belated’ Thanksgiving Day for the Boys

We know we are more than a month late with this post, but better late than never.

We got to enjoy our first Thanksgiving with Enzo and it was definitely a memorable one. Even though Enzo was cooed over by the family, Tony was still the life of the party.

As usual, Tony refused to eat dinner when we all sat down as a family, but he eventually came to the table to eat a variety of different things, not an entire plate.

Enzo was our own little turkey for the day, getting to try some mashed potatoes at dinner.

Enzo was christened on November 16 at St. Charles Borromeo Parish in Cinnaminson.

Uncle CJ was asked to be his godfather, while Nicole’s cousin Katie was asked to be his godmother. Both gladly accepted with enthusiasm.

Katie was unable to attend the ceremony because she moved to Switzerland for a job. She did however watch the ceremony via Skype thanks to her dad, Uncle Mike.

We asked Aunt Carol, Katie’s mom, to stand-in for Katie during the ceremony. She gladly accepted and enjoyed every minute of the day.

Happy New Year and a Quick Update

Good evening folks. It has been more than one month since our last post and things have been pretty up and down.

The last post prior to tonight went live on the site on the morning of November 15. That is a day that myself and Nicole will never forget.

We lost a close friend and it touched home immensely.

For all of us who have children, they can be quite troublesome when they learn how to talk. Things can really get interesting when daddy cannot keep his potty mouth in check when around the children.

Other issues arise when we are watching television and Tony decides to repeat everything he hears on the tube. Obviously, we have not adjusted well to having a talking toddler in the house yet.

For all of the bad things Tony says, he comes up with some dandies that really make us laugh more often than not.

One of those comments came tonight not long before bedtime, when mommy asked Tony to put on his pajamas. He pulled up his minion pants and began to button his minion shirt.

I was out of the house for quite a while on Monday night for the monthly meeting at the firehouse. Upon returning home, after 9:30, Tony was still awake and Enzo was relaxing in his swing.

Mommy had promised Tony that he could stay up until Daddy got home, but once I was home, it would be time for bed. For once, Tony did not argue heading upstairs.

I walked through the door and told Tony it was time for a diaper change and for him to say goodnight to Mommy and Baby Enzo.

I went upstairs to put clean sheets on his mattress and asked Mommy to send him up after he said goodnight. Tony, as usual, conned his mother into carrying him up the stairs.
