Yesterday was Halloween and Tony had a blast, after an unexpected meltdown.

We went to Grandmom and Poppi’s house in Marlton so Tony could trick-or-treat. Tony was going to dress as a fireman and Enzo was going to dress as his dalmatian.

Let’s back-up a couple of hours to Thursday night, mischief night. We had dinner and went to Nonna’s house so Tony could throw some toilet paper in the bushes and spray silly string on the front porch.

Then, we headed to Palmyra to watch their annual Halloween parade. Tony enjoyed the floats, the dogs in costumes and especially seeing the ambulances and fire trucks.

Pumpkin Patch 2014

Good morning everyone. It has been a long time since we have updated the site. Life gets in the way sometimes, especially when you have two children in the house and have to write for clients on a daily basis. Hopefully we can begin updating the site on a daily basis like earlier this summer.

We are going to backtrack a little bit here and move to the middle of the month of October, when Tony and Enzo got the chance to visit Conte Farms in Tabernacle for a hayride and some pumpkin picking.

The family got together on a Saturday in the middle of the month to hit the pumpkin patch, which was the first visit for Enzo.

All Aboard! Tony and Enzo Ride the Rails at Strasburg

On Saturday, we decided to take Tony and Enzo to Ronks, PA for a visit to the Strasburg Rail Road. Tony had been on the train before, right around the time he was six-months old, but today sure was fun!

It was Tony’s first real train ride, outside of the smaller trains on the Ocean City boardwalk, and he absolutely loved it. We rode the rails for a good 45 minutes, a 9-mile round trip all told, and then walked across the street to visit the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania.

The station was bustling today as Thomas and Percy came for a visit for the first time since the month of June. We did not get the chance to ride on the trains pulled by either one of these engines, but we did ride the traditional steam engine at Strasburg.

Tony’s Eye Surgery Was an ‘Adventure’ for My Paesan

Tony’s Eye Surgery Was an ‘Adventure’ for My Paesan

Earlier this week, Tony went to the Summit Surgery Center at Virtua Voorhees to have the blocked tear duct in his right eye opened. It has caused him to have pink eye quite a few times since birth, so it was time to get it taken care of before he got any older.

Leading up to the day of surgery, which was Tuesday, all Tony knew was that he was going on an ‘adventure’ that morning.

We made sure Tony went to bed at a decent time the night before and that he did not eat or drink anything that morning. That was very difficult because Tony always asks for something to drink the minute he wakes up in the morning.

We kept telling Tony that he would be able to have juice right before his ‘adventure’ and then as soon as it is complete.

As we wrote yesterday, we took both Tony and Enzo to the doctor this week for dueling appointments. Tony was scheduled for a pre-op exam and Enzo was scheduled for his one-month checkup.

The appointment times were back-to-back, but we all went into the room together. The nurse examined Enzo first, who didn’t make a sound as he poked and prodded his head, stomach, legs and arms.

Then, the nurse asked Tony to take his shoes off. We cannot get Tony to keep his shoes on while in the car or at home, but he broke down into a tantrum when this request was made by the nurse.
