Tony is Frightened of Everything, Except Thunderstorms

Many toddlers go through a stage where they are frightened of almost anything conceivable. Most toddlers are afraid of loud noises, the dark, monsters and thunderstorms. Well, Tony does not fall into the category of most toddlers.
Over the past couple of days we have had some strong rumbles of thunder in the area that have sent our dog Phoebe scampering for cover in corners and underneath blankets, but Tony has not been fazed by the loud booms created by the lightning.
Tony has told us in the past that he does not like it when it storms, but he has not lost his cool during a thunderstorm yet this spring. Now, we also have yet to experience a really nasty summer thunderstorm, and that might change the game completely.
Adventures in Potty Training: Part One

Nicole and I decided it was time to go full bore with the whole potty training adventure with Tony yesterday. We had been telling him for a couple of weeks that once his diapers were gone he had to start wearing underwear and using the potty.
For the last couple of weeks, each time we spoke about it, he would agree and sometimes get excited at the thought of wearing big boy underwear.
Yesterday, Tony had just three diapers left and he went through them pretty quickly. By the time mommy got home from school it was time to don the big boy underwear.
The Challenges of Parenting Through Death

I have been wrestling with this topic for quite some time now, but a recent event made my decision clear and came to the conclusion that I need to write on this topic.
Now, many friends and family members have said time and again that they love the site, especially the pictures of the boys and being able to stay updated on how Tony and Enzo are doing. On the other hand, many have said they read some of the posts and do nothing but cry while doing so.
Well, here is a warning; this is a post that will probably make you cry.
Enzo Can Walk; When He Wants To

Earlier this week, Enzo decided that it was time to start walking without holding onto anything! Mommy and daddy coaxed him into taking steps by trying to reach the iPad.
I know, parents these days! We coaxed him into crawling by making him chase after an iPhone that we kept moving out of his reach. Who said technology is bad for us? It helped teach our son how to crawl and now walk!!
As you can see in the video, Enzo took at least three steps, possibly four, before finally giving up.
