Tony Turns Three and Still Refuses to Use the Potty

Tony turned three on Sunday, which also happened to be the day we had his party with 60-plus of our closest family and friends.
Tony had an absolute blast; running around the house saying hi to everyone, eating, playing with friends and blowing out the candles on his firefighter cake.
The theme of the party was Paw Patrol/Firefighter since Tony is obsessed with both and he couldn’t decide what he wanted.
“Uptown Funk You Up, Uptown Funk You Up”

If anyone out there reading this post is not in-tune with today’s music, the title of this post is a lyric from a new Bruno Mars song. It has become wildly popular, even with Tony.
Why does Tony love this song?
Well, Mommy loves to play music on her phone each night after dinner while we clean-up. She either plays a Taylor Swift song or “Uptown Funk.” Mommy and Tony dance in the kitchen and even sing along when he knows the words.
So, you might be wondering why I am writing about a Bruno Mars song and what it has to do with Tony.
Tony Wants His Birthday Canceled and a Deal Voided

I was sitting in my chair on this chilly Tuesday morning trying to get some work done while Tony ran around the room like a maniac.
Nonna was in Enzo’s room trying to get him to go down for a nap.
Tony has been a menace this morning, chasing the dog with his microphone stand and poking her to the point of making her bark, which in turn woke up Enzo from an early-morning nap.
Then, he took all of his Mickey Mouse Clubhouse tools and threw them all over the floor. Nothing fazes this child when trying to discipline him, except that he is does not want to be sent to his room.
Tony is Definitely a Little Guido

I have always embraced my Italian heritage.
As anyone who knows me, or has even just talked to me for five minutes, knows that I live and breathe being Italian.
I know a lot of people who are not proud of their heritage, no matter what it is, but I am proud to say I am an Italian-American. As we watch Tony grow to almost three-years-old, I hope he says the same when he is old enough to understand what it means to be a proud Italian-American.
So far, I think he is embracing it!
Tony and Enzo are Growing Up Way Too Fast

It is a bitter cold Thursday night and the entire family is sick. Between fevers, runny noses, sore throats and upset stomachs, Mommy, Daddy, Tony and Enzo have pretty much run the gamut of illnesses this week.
Enzo has gotten much better, while Tony has gotten worse as the week progressed.
Daddy woke up with a sore throat this morning and Mommy came home from school with a fever.
We decided to get out Tony’s old Pack’n’Play for Enzo to try out tonight. He immediately took to it. We filled it with his toys and a blanket.
