Today is July 29, 2015 for those of you who are on summer time. This means that Life with Tony and Enzo is officially one-year-old today. The website launched three days after Enzo, our second son, was born in 2014 and has become the go-to place for family members, friends, and others to check-up on our paesans.
As I promised in Sunday’s article, here is the look-back article of the site’s first year online. The site has become very popular over the last year as our readers love the quirky stories about the boys, especially the ones that detailed how we struggle with different aspects of parenting much like every other parent does on a regular basis.
For starters, the most popular story on the site in the first year was Has it Really Been 12 Years, Five Years of Marriage, and Two Kids? Even though this article has only been live on the site for less than two months, it has been read the most compared to every other article on the site.
The second most popular article on the site in the first year was Children Never Cease to Amaze and Delight. This, ironically, was the second article published on the site one year ago on this date.
The flagship article for Life with Tony and Enzo one year ago on this date was Life with Two Paesans. The article provided a little bit of a backstory of our lives and also introduced our first-born son, Tony, and then Enzo. We also discussed how we came up with their first and middle names.
The last three articles we will take a look at today are some of my favorite articles on the site.
The first, in no particular order, is “Welcome to Ocean City Enzo.” This article talks about the first time Enzo made an appearance in Ocean City, where our families like to spend their summers. As we arrived on the island via the 9th St. Bridge, Tony said to Enzo, “Welcome to Ocean City, Enzo. This is my favorite place.” It can’t get any cuter than that, can it?
The second article, titled Tony’s Eye Surgery Was an ‘Adventure’ for My Paesan,” detailed Tony’s eye surgery from last September that opened up a blocked tear duct. I will be honest with you, Nicole and I were more nervous and worried that day than the day Nicole went into labor with Tony. Even though the procedure literally took 15 minutes, it was nerve wracking because Tony was given anesthesia and put under for it.
The third article we want to touch on one year from the site’s launch is Smiles Abound as a Brothers’ Bond Strengthens Each Day. This article was posted when Enzo was just five days old. Tony took to his little brother immediately, from the minute he met him for the first time in the hospital. That bond has grown even stronger these past couple of months as Enzo has found his voice and can now walk.
We hope you enjoyed this trip down memory lane for the one-year anniversary of Life with Tony and Enzo. There will be plenty more great stories on the horizon.
