The First Birthday Celebration with Tony and Enzo

Nonna had the privilege of being the first person to celebrate a birthday with both Tony and Enzo on Sunday afternoon.

We had the family over for my mother-in-law’s birthday and it really was a great time. Tony was cuter than ever and Enzo was wide awake all day long, showing off his beautiful eyes for pictures with the birthday girl.

August is a great month for birthdays in the family. We started off with Nonna, then we move to daddy and then to Grandmom.

How better to celebrate birthdays then with a two-year-old and a newborn?! Today was just so much fun for all involved.

Tony got to hang with Uncle CJ and Alli, who returned from their weeklong vacation in South Carolina, for most of the afternoon. Uncle CJ and daddy had to run out of the house at dinner for a fire call, which prompted Tony to don his fireman’s outfit when we returned, as you can see from the pictures in this post.

Enzo stayed awake almost all day, sitting with Nonna and Tony while the family sang Happy Birthday to the proud grandmother. Tony even joined in the celebration, serenading her and helping her blow out the candles on the cake.

Making memories with family is always fun, but when you add in two beautiful children who can always make you smile and laugh, the memories are one million times better.

Tony tried his hand at baseball, which did not go so well, but he’s still young. We have plenty of time there to develop him into a superstar!

We all enjoyed cake and ice cream for Nonna’s birthday, with Tony especially enjoying the orange sherbet with his cake.

Today was was such a blast and I cannot wait to spend my birthday with both of my sons for the first time later this month.
