Merry Christmas Tony and Enzo!

Tony and Enzo Christmas

Well, it is the end of January, and I am finally getting around to writing about Christmas.

I apologize for the delay in posts, but things have been crazy of late.

The boys are doing well. Tony is running around and chatting like a maniac and Enzo is growing in leaps and bounds. He turned six months old yesterday.

Christmas was an adventure this year with two children in the house now.

Tony has entered the phase of life where it is time to get potty trained, but he refuses to do so. Enzo is in the in-between period of rolling over and learning how to crawl, so everything angers him when he cannot move around like his older brother.

We are going to hit a couple of different topics in this post, including Christmas, New Year’s Eve and Aunt Katie meeting Enzo for the first time.

Merry Christmas Tony and Enzo!

Christmas was an adventure and a blessing all in one shot.

It was an adventure because Tony received a couple packs of big-boy underwear, which were definitely not his favorite gift.

It was a blessing because we got to spend the holiday with our two handsome boys.

Now, back to the underwear. Tony received underwear from both Nonna and Grandmom and Poppi. He was not a fan of either pack. In fact, he threw the ones from Grandmom and Poppi across the room after unwrapping them.

His reaction to the pack from Nonna was not much better.

Enzo received some really cool toys he can begin to play with in the coming months, while Tony’s haul included the Paw Patrol Lookout Tower, a Mickey Mouse workbench and toolbox and a bike!

The bike was a funny gift because Grandmom and Poppi put his helmet in a gift bag. Tony opened it, said, “Oh, it’s a bike helmet. But, I don’t have a bike.” He got so dejected so fast until he was told to go look outside.

The bike was in my parents’ truck and he got to try it out for a little bit Christmas morning.

The day was a success, with Tony crashing around 8pm that night after spending all day with his new toys and the entire family. Enzo, despite not knowing what was going on, had a blast as well. Everytime he saw someone new that day he smiled and I am convinced it was because my father-in-law was with him throughout the day. Those smiles let us know that we could enjoy the day and that he was with all of us.

New Year’s Eve

New Year’s Eve was a trip!

We attended a party at Grandmom and Poppi’s house with the boys in tow.

Tony partied all night long, until about 12:30am, when he finally crashed on the sofa. He danced, played with noisemakers at midnight, enjoyed the food and talked with just about everyone who was in attendance.

Enzo did not understand what was going on, but when we celebrated the New Year, he couldn’t have been calmer. He was wide awake and in the room with everyone; so we thought he would cry with all the noise. Turns out; he liked it. He was the calmest he had been almost all day.

Tony ran around the room shaking his rattle and blowing into his noisemaker, kissing all the ladies in attendance, including Mommy and Grandmom.

Aunt Katie Meets Enzo

Aunt Katie, Enzo’s godmother, moved out of the country not two days before he was born this past July. The first time she was home since that move was Christmas.

Aunt Katie came over the day after she got home to meet her godson. Enzo enjoyed the visit, but Tony couldn’t stop telling Aunt Katie stories.

It was great to see Aunt Katie get to hold her godson for the first time and watch Enzo’s face light up with joy.

All of the cousins from the Sulock side of the family got together later in the week as the rest of the family was home from around the country.

Once again, Tony and Enzo were the hits of the party as Aunt Katie got to spend another day with her godson.
