Tony and Enzo Excitedly Welcome Baby Sal

Tony and Enzo met their new baby cousin this past week! Welcome baby Sal!

Tony and Enzo were beaming with excitement on the morning of Thursday, August 30 and rightfully so. Upon waking up Nicole had some thrilling news to share with them: their first cousin had been born late the night before (August 29 at 8:30pm). Salvatore Christopher was finally here!

The boys looked at photos we were sent of the Sal and asked throughout the day to see the pictures again and again. Later that afternoon Nicole and I visited Sal for the first time in the hospital. While there we video chatted with the boys back home so they could get a glimpse of Sal.

Friday was the day. Friday was the day the boys would meet baby Sal for the first time in person. The entire ride to the hospital Tony would say he couldn’t wait to squeeze Sal’s cute little cheeks. Enzo just kept saying his full name over and over again. It truly was love at first sight and the boys hadn’t even met yet.

We had to wait a couple minutes upon arrival at the hospital to go into the room but once we did, Tony and Enzo were enthralled and in love. The boys sat down in the chair and anxiously awaited to hold Sal for even just a minute or two.

As you can see in the picture above, Tony became enamored with his cousin immediately, especially when Sal grabbed onto Tony’s finger and wouldn’t let go. Enzo did nothing but stare at his baby cousin from the moment he sat down with him.

The boys have talked non stop about baby Sal, or as I affectionately call him Sally Boy. We now have Tony Baloney, Enzy Wenzy, and Sally Boy in the family. A family that keeps growing. A family that has plenty of love to go around, especially from Tony and Enzo.

Each day since he was born Enzo asks when we will see Sal again. If he could, Enzo would have Sal move in with us. He even built him a fort out of pillows and blankets the other day before he was born.

Sal’s doggie Sebago spent the week with us while mommy and daddy were away. Every chance they got Tony and Enzo would tell Sebago that he was now a big brother. Their excitement knows no bounds and it’s so incredible to witness.

Sal will read this one day. But, long before he reads this he will know how much his cousins love and adore him. He will know how much his cousins smiled in awe at his arrival. He will know how much love there is to go around in this growing family.

To Sal, with love.
